"A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord." Proverbs 19:3

If I were to be brutally honest with myself, I'M my biggest problem. Sure, people have: hurt; deceived; cheated; slandered and betrayed me. But what I have done to myself is far worse (sin, fears, doubts, procrastination). What has been done is done. But I chose my reactions to what was done, and that has probably caused me more pain. Simply put, so many times I have put myself on the wrong path. The road I'm on is my own asphalt and no-one else’s. But I can choose, at any time, a better path, and it is time:

FOR ME TO GO…

"By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him." Hebrews 11:5

Enoch walked faithfully with God, then he was no more, because God took him away' (Genesis 5:24). Note, it says, Enoch was faithful, not perfect, which is impossible because we come from tainted genes (first man, Adam). Now what happened to Enoch was a physical exit from this planet. As for us, this must happen in a spiritual way. You see, the longer we walk with God we (our sinful we) too will be taken away. The more we fill ourselves with Jesus the less of us there is room for. In John 3:30, John the Baptist said, 'He must become greater; I must become less.' This is the second goal of God for our lives. The first is for us to believe in Jesus and confess Him as our Lord, after that we are to conform to His image - be like Him.

…AND BE MORE LIKE GOD.

"Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God." Hebrews 11:5b

It pleases God greatly when we conform to the image of His Son. And isn't that what we really want, to please God with our lives? Paul did say in II Corinthians 5:9, 'We make it our goal to please the Lord.' Paul also said, that God 'predestined' (pre - planned) for us to be like Jesus (Romans 8:29). If we choose to be less like our natural (carnal) selves, it proves we approve of His great plan for our life. This is when we are commended (approved of) by God. The Ancient path to a new you is becoming like Jesus.
